5 hours to live, how do I tell him?

It is 7 am here in the Morris house. All is quiet. That quietness is going to come to an abrupt halt. Many of you know that I have a nutty loveable dog named Max. He is a Portuguese Water Dog and has been with us 2 short years. He has been my friend, companion and confidant. Dogs will never share your secrets, no matter how deep they may be. I told him my secret, that I loved him and that he was going to heaven soon. Like 5 hours soon. He just looked at me, wagged his tail and gave me a look, as if to say "Hey Vance, it will be alright". You see, over the weekend, we had to make the painful decision to euthanize him. But it was time... So this holiday season, remember your loved ones. Furry and human. Remember to give thanks for ALL that you have in your life. Remember, we have first world problems. Celebrate life with those you love. Do it now.
