Just when you thought the world could not get any weirder…
California has issued a ban on screaming while you are enjoying your favorite amusement ride…
Not so fast there my western US Disney Fanatics.
Seems that was just a widely reported on rumor…
The California Attractions and Parks Association (CAPA) has spent the last 24 hours seriously back peddling, retracting and clarifying their statements.
Supposedly reputable media outlets CBS, USA Today and various California newspapers spread this gossip.
CAPA’s original criteria for re-opening the states theme parks was to include the ability to limit activities that are known to cause increased spread (e.g.: singing, shouting, heavy breathing; loud environments will cause people to raise voice.)
Heavy breathing? Really?
But there is some truth in the matter.
A theme park in Japan has told riders to “scream inside you heart”.
What the Donald Duck?
So what’s this got to do with your business?
As Robert Collier said, enter the conversation that is occurring in your prospects mind.
These days it is called “news-jacking”.
Millions of people were talking about the screaming ban over the weekend.
I capitalized on the conversation (already happening) by creating a contest about the ban. You can check it out / enter the contest here: Facebook contest
