Catholic Diocese Publicly Claims “there is no such thing as Santa”
A roman Catholic diocese in Italy apologized to angry parents after its bishop told a group of children that Santa Claus doesn’t exist.
A spokesman for the diocese said Bishop Antonio Stagliano had good intentions (yeah, right) and was trying to emphasize the true meaning of Christmas.
Here is where he went off script. He told the kids that Santa’s red costume was created by Coca-Cola for a marketing campaign.
“I express my sorrow for this declaration” the spokesman said, “which has created disappointment in the little one.”
What?! Your bishopness couldn’t face those kids himself? Had to send a flunky out to face the devastated children?
That same bishop was probably embroiled in the Saudi Arabian Camel scandal.
A Saudi Arabian beauty pageant for camels (who knew?) was rocked by scandal after 43 camels were disqualified for using Botox!
Camel owners compete for millions, where their animals are judged on poise, posture, hump & head shape.
Not sure a camel beauty contest would make it here in the States.
And on that note….
I wish you the Jolliest of Holidays.
Take some time to decompress.
Spend time with family or loved ones.
Oh, and don’t believe what that idiot bishop said.
