For those of you in the US, I hope you enjoy your Memorial Day!
Here on the East Coast, it has been ridiculously cold and raining. The past two days have been a soggy, muddy mess.
In the US, Memorial Day is the official start of the summer traffic (vacation) season. Nearly 37 million Americans will travel somewhere this weekend. To a beach, a lake, a mountain cabin.
However, this is supposed to be a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered.
How many American will remember that?
For my friends in the southern US, there is another memorial day; any of various days (especially the fourth Monday in April) on which those who died serving in the Confederate forces are remembered. Though not many north of the Mason Dixon line even know about it.
But I digress…
Since it was crappy weather, I decided to reorganize and declutter my home office.
All I managed to do, was move things around and only had one teeny tiny bag of trash to show for nearly 5 hours of work.
But I did discover my old file of Dan Kennedy letters and memo’s. Yes, I am a paper kind of guy. If I save something as a pdf on my computer, it will never be found again.
But looking at Dan’s memo’s from the early 90’s got me thinking.
