Disney found another way to drain your bank account faster

A new feature is now testing at MouseGear in EPCOT that allows guests to check out via the My Disney Experience app. To use Mobile Checkout, guests simply have to open the My Disney Experience app and scan the barcode of the item they’d like to purchase. When they’re done, guests can check out completely from within the My Disney Experience app and all applicable discounts will be applied. And boy oh boy do they make it easy... In 4 easy steps we will suck more money from your bank account
  1. Grab a special Mobile Check out bag
  2. Scan the barcode with your phone as you add them to your bag
  3. Check out and pay in the app.
  4. Show the cast member at the exit your QR code for your purchase
Yet again Disney has removed a friction point to doing business with them. They have made it even easier to make a purchase without having to fumble for a credit card, room key or magic band. And if you don't want to carry the stuff to the hotel or schlep it on the plane, Disney will ship the merchandise directly to your house. What does this have to do with your business? Everything. First, Disney is constantly looking at ways to improve the guest experience. And with that improvement, higher sales ensue. Remove the roadblocks or friction points to doing business with you. And to their credit, they made the process simple. Four steps. That's it. If you want more sales, look at all of the points where clients interact with you. Is there a way to improve that experience? To remove friction points, thereby creating more sales. Can you simplify the process, making it easier for clients to give you money?
