Disney’s Next CEO Might Be Only 18 Years Old
According to the Wall St Journal, apparently, an 18-year-old from Phoenix is vying to be the next CEO of Disney! Can you imagine? I mean, I know we all have big dreams, but this girl takes the cake.
But hey, who are we to judge? Maybe she’s got what it takes. After all, she’s already talked to current CEO Bob Iger about it. Talk about being proactive!
I don’t know about you, but I’m curious to see how this plays out. Will she become the youngest CEO in Disney history? Or will Bob Iger politely decline and tell her to come back in a few decades? Check out the Full WSJ Article Here
Frozen Dead Guy Marketing
For more than 20 years, the tiny town of Nederland, CO has been known for their cryogenically immortalized grandfather on a sheet of ice – also known as Frozen Dead Guy. This unique attraction has drawn thousands of tourists over the years, making it a marketing goldmine for the town.
But hold on to your hats folks, because another Colorado town is now laying claim to the Frozen Dead Guy festival. Estes Park is ready to give Nederland a run for their money and attract even more visitors with this… umm… interesting event.
As a copywriter with a knack for humor and creativity, I can’t help but wonder what kind of marketing tactics these towns will use to get ahead in the Frozen Dead Guy game. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be part of such an unusual and quirky tradition? Click here for the pics.
Innovate or Die: Fortune Favors the Bold
Innovate of dies – the saying goes – and it’s as true in the fortune cookie business as in the tech sector.
In 1977 The Lotus Bakery in San Francisco supplied the entire city with the little cookie containing the paper slip predicting your future.
Lotus had revolutionized the business with an automated contraption – but with one fatal flaw…
It still required workers (humans, not droids) to grab the hot cookies and drop them into the folding machine.
By 1990, they were out of business. Failing to continue to innovate and fully automated machines soon took over the world.
You could argue that they should have seen this coming. (If you don’t understand the joke… well I am not about to explain it).
And finally…
‘National Customer Rage Survey’ points to troubling trend among US consumers
Have you ever had a customer service experience that made you want to pull your hair out? Well, according to the National Customer Rage Survey, you’re not alone. In fact, it seems like we Americans are becoming increasingly infuriated by the level of assistance we receive from customer service departments.
But here’s the kicker: some of us aren’t above seeking “revenge” on these poor customer service reps. That’s right, we’re talking about badgering, belittling, and even threatening them. Yikes!
Isn’t that kind of horrifying? It’s like we’ve forgotten that these reps are human beings just trying to do their job.
So let’s all take a deep breath and try to remember that good old-fashioned kindness can go a long way in improving the customer experience. After all, wouldn’t you rather be known as the person who brightened someone’s day instead of the one who caused them to have a mental breakdown? Click here for the full report
