Large derrière forces Anna & Elsa to redesign Arendelle fleet

When Disney was renovating (reimagining, in Disney parlance) the Norway Pavilion at Epcot (Now Arendelle from the movie Frozen, they had to do something never before attempted or necessary in their 50 years open to the public: Build larger, sturdier boats (it is a water ride) due to the increasing size (weight) of the guests. Since 1970, Americans are now 28 pounds heavier now than they were 50 years ago. And those substantial hindquarters forced the redesign and rebuilding of the Disney boats. I guess snarfing down a package of Double-Stuf-Oreo's in one sitting is catching up to Americans. And now these lazy overweight sloths want to blame the food manufacturers for their ever-expanding bodacious fundaments. And the food manufacturers have been offering smaller portions and more calorie information on the packaging. Take Oreo's for example. They now sell packages containing 3 cookies for about 160 calories. Of course those packages come in a box of 18! (42 cookies if you were trying to do the math) However, consumers DO NOT WANT manufacturers to make their recipes healthier if it means changing the taste of the product. In fact 69% of people surveyed felt this way (Adweek, July 26, 2021) So what do boats from a fake country, people with considerable fanny's, and the illusion of healthier packaging have to do with your business? You thought I was not going to be able to tie all this together in a business lesson, didn't you? First and foremost, as a business owner, you MUST take full responsibility for everything that happens in your business. Just like your weight, if your business is slothful and unhealthy, don't blame anyone else but yourself.
  • Crappy employees? Who hired them?
  • Bad location? Who picked it?
  • Low sales? Who is in charge of marketing?
It all comes back to you. Many time we are looking for someone else to blame for problems that are 100% in our control. Stop looking, find a mirror and take a peek. Has your business become a whopping whopper? Don't blame the Oreo's
Remember, you won't profit unless you implement, Vance "I prefer home baked cookies" Morris
