The premise of this pathetic sales book is:
Success in sales today demands fresh ideas, approaches, and techniques. The sales landscape today is filled with buyers who are armed with excessive amounts of information. So, what happens when you enter the sales battlefield armed with ancient methods of selling? You simply don’t survive.
Bullsh*t!
There is nothing new under the sun when it comes to selling.
Why?
Because human nature does not change.
For millennia, humans have always bought with their heart (emotion) and then justified their purchase with their brain (logic).
Ug: Check out my new club! It comes with kung-foo grip and spikey things to whack the brontosaurus.
Og: Ms. Ug is not going to be happy you traded your youngling for it
Ug: Yea, but now I can spend less time clubbing and more time uging making more younglings.
The same psychology is at play today, though without the clubbing.
The big conclusion at the end of the book?
Remember in sales, your are dealing with humans, not numbers.
well, geez.... really?
I can confidently tell you that skipping this book will not impact your sales, salesmanship, saleswomenship or salesthemthoseship.
