Back when I was consulting for the Rain Forest Cafe (RFC) there was an absolutely certifiable nut job working as a janitor.
One day as I was walking into the restaurant, he was at the bar snorting lines of white powder.
I freaked out!
What the Donald Duck are you doing Armando? I screamed, actually using a word that starts with ‘f’ that rhymes with duck.
No worry boss! He said calmly
Yes, I worry! I cried
He then ceremoniously pulled out a packet of Sweet & Low, dumped on the bar, and proceeded to snort away!
I just walked away… Speechless.
True to its tag line, RFC was a “wild place to shop & eat”.
The Rain Forest Cafe (RFC) knew how to create an experience for their guests.
The food was ok, yet fairly expensive
The merchandise was of “ok” quality. It too, was not cheap
But boy did we put on a show!
I was on the opening team of a few RFC’s, so I have some insider knowledge as to how we designed the experience.
Over sized audio animatronic animals, volcanoes, live parrots complete with animal trainer, ginormous fish tanks, acres of plastic greenery and trees.
Oh and don’t forget the sounds of the jungle, the mist rolling through the tables and the frequent thunder storms.
The overall experience was so good, you forgot about the crappy food and over priced merchandise.
Want to know the secret to RFC’s success?
Creating the EXPERIENCE!
And how did they do this?
By focusing on the 5 senses.
But let’s just focus on one teeny tiny aspect of the experience.
The mist:
The mist at Rain Forest Café hits all 5 senses.
- First you hear the sound szszszszszszs,
- then you can see the mist in the distance
- and then feel the cool damp moisture against your body
- All the while you can smell the humid tropics
- and taste it when breathing through your mouth.
How about your business? What senses are you activating?
On this second day of Christmas Mouster Class I reveal:
- Using the 5 senses to create an irresistible buying environment
- How businesses with a well designed theme out perform their competitors financially.
- How a poor theme or complete lack of one forces clients to forget you.
- The secret to selling an experience for 10x the price of a good or service
- The little known strategy for price elasticity. (Actually, less than 1% of all companies know it)
- My 8 step process for creating an experience that your patients and clients will gladly pay to essentially sell to them
- 6 different types of admission fees you can implement right now
Do you need to be a Rain Forest Cafe, Disney or Nike to pull it off?
Nope.
I did it with my carpet cleaning business.
Which means, anyone can do it.
And I charge 2.5x my closest competitor.
Getting paid for the experience you provide, not just the goods or services you sell, is the final step to creating an experience
The information in this Mouster Class could be worth thousands to you. How do I know? I have had clients pay me thousands of dollars to do this very thing.
