The Lost Art of Repurposing

Recently reported in Forbes, Saudi Arabia plans to turn an abandoned off shore oil platform into an extreme theme park and resort, for the uber-rich. Named "The Rig" the planned 1.6 million square foot park/resort in the middle of the Arabian Sea (sorry Southwest does not have direct flights) will feature:
  • Roller Coasters
  • Submarines (or you can bring your own)
  • Bungee Jumping
  • Skydiving
  • Three hotels and
  • 11 restaurants
All stretched across interconnected platforms. High rollers can arrive via helicopter or dock at the super yacht marina. ( All superyachts are opulent enough to be equipped with an object that represents the epitome of luxury—a limousine tender. If you don't have a yacht limo, you don't have a superyacht) The tender alone costs over $250k! Talk about repurposing! One of my secrets (pay attention now!) to massive implementation is repurposing content in multiple ways. Repurposing can mean taking one piece of content and breaking it down into multiple pieces or it can mean taking a bunch of smaller pieces of content and combining them to create something new. If you’ve already written a book, e-book or long report or created a webinar or some other long-form piece of content, you can divide it into dozens of pieces quickly and easily. You can hire someone to do all or most of this for you. Or you can reverse this.... Turn Multiple Existing Pieces of Content into One Piece Writing a book or creating a lead magnet or course can seem daunting. Before you create a course, book, e-book, lead magnet, etc., review the content you already have. You will uncover multiple ways to create new content that can have a massive impact using existing assets. Don’t make the common mistake of believing your content needs to be 100% new and original to be successful. By breaking down your content into smaller chunks you can determine what is most relevant to your target audience. Similarly, by reviewing existing pieces of content, you can see what gets the highest response. Plus, once you spend time on combining assets into a long-form asset, you can continually recycle these, turning old content into new, by revising, updating, or republishing these guides, reports, books, and courses.
