Typical companies are in deep doo-doo

Yep… More good news for typical companies.

If you are a typical US/European or Australian company you WILL lose 50% of your clients in the next 5 years.

In a recent survey by Mosaix. typical companies will lose half of their customers. Fully TWO THIRDS of those client will leave because of a poor client experience.

But you are not typical? Right?

Let me throw a few numbers your way from the same survey listed above.

Companies that provide a superior experience for their customers enjoy the following advantages over their low-service competitors:

  • They grow twice as fast
  • They experience a 6% annual market share growth vs. a 1% share loss (they TAKE customers away from their competitors)
  • They can charge 10% more for their product or services and STILL take the customers away
  • Because of this, they enjoy a 12% vs 1% average return on sales.

And how did these companies go from typical to extraordinary?

Well, many started as extraordinary companies; Disney, Apple, Tesla….

But those who had to adapt, had to change to remain relevant, had to differentiate or die all had the same thing in common, they all had disciplined thought and disciplined actions. (Jim Collins goes into great detail in his book Good to Great)

And there it is in a succinct nutshell.

  1. Discipline
  2. Thought
  3. Action

You need all three. This is not a cafeteria model or a buffet. The 10 commandments did not come with an asterisk saying “*just obey the one’s you like or that are not too inconvenient for you”. Nope!

  • Thought without discipline = chaos, randomness
  • Action without thought = trial and error. Gee, this didn’t work, let’s try that.
  • Discipline without action = great ideas never to be put into play.

As I always say, you won’t profit unless you implement. What?
