You miss 100% of the shots you don’t make, Alec Baldwin

C’vid is like filming a movie, you have a 97.6% chance of survival.

What?

Too soon?

Do you think me inappropriate?

Tough noogies.

Napoleon Hill said it best: Be inappropriate and grow rich (or something like that).

OK, so he didn’t say it, but being intentionally inappropriate can generate tremendous wealth.

There are a couple of strategies at play here:

  1. Enter the conversation that is already happening in peoples minds. Alec is top of mind right now. Intentionally using this story almost guarantees your message to be opened and read.
  2. Cringe? Worry who you’ll offend? Welcome to real Direct Marketing, where ‘inappropriate’ thrives. This is the time of year when we are sometimes called upon to cite things we are thankful for. I have a long list. One is my learning early about the importance of immunity to criticism, especially from civilians, but also peers, and the corresponding joy of being inappropriate grabbing treasure.

I am so thankful that I built up a strong immunity to criticism. It wasn’t always so. It is something I figured out was necessary, and that I did deliberately – I imagine in much the same way a body-builder creates physical strength and fitness.

Who’s opinion matters? Honestly, no one’s. Your RESULTS matter.

  • If you like that Dave Chapelle special, and can use it in your marketing, great!
  • Nike used Colin Kaepernick.
  • Trump? Created a whole new definition of inappropriate.

All week I have been talking about not being vanilla, not being boring, the need to stand out.

Walt Disney did this marvelously. At the opening of Snow White and the 7 height challenged people, he hired 7 dwarves to stand on top of the marquee at the movie theater to greet the guests.

Not vanilla and not boring.

In the November Mouster Class titled “Compelling Marketing Blueprint”, I reveal my secrets on using compelling, outrageous and yes sometimes inappropriate marketing.

Included are:

  • The 3 FATAL flaws of 99% of marketing
  • Four reasons COMPELLING marketing works
  • 5 Profitable Reasons To Be Inappropriate So You Can Grow Rich
  • The Compelling Marketing step by step blueprint
  • How a picture of my wife strangling me has generated over $100k in sales.
  • The J. Peterman catalog tactic that generates raving fans and crushes their competition.
  • The sneaky “Create the Christmas Morning Feeling” with your clients every time you communicate with them.
  • The Crackerjack Box strategy that surprises and delights prospects every step of the way.
  • the immunity to criticism vaccine
  • And so much more.

But you have to be a DSNi Inner Circle Cast Member, which you can take care of here: https://www.deliverservicenow.com/invitation/

But don’t dilly dally, this months Mouster Class goes into the DSNi vault at midnight on 10/31/21.

WARNING: This is not for snowflakes. Snowflakes melt in the heat of the business battle. This is for serious business owners who want to break the chains of plain, vanilla marketing and profit mightily.

Thoughtless inappropriateness is a bad habit. Deliberate inappropriateness can be a very good strategy.

Remember, you won’t profit unless you implement,
